In Loving Memory – President Valerie Gary Bell

Our hearts are heavy, and we are all in deep mourning over the death of Mrs. Valerie Faith Gary Bell, President of the Connectional Lay Organization of the African Methodist Episcopal Church; and beloved Sister, whose roots are embedded in the Second Episcopal District. Our beloved Valerie went home to be with the Lord at 4:51p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2020.

We express our heartfelt sympathy to her husband, Mr. Donald Bell, Sr., children, grandchildren, and other members of her family on the loss of someone who was so dearly loved, a pillar in the Second Episcopal District, an inspiration and a loyal friend.

We are aware that Sister Valerie’s  reach transcended the Second Episcopal District and we shared her with a much broader audience.  She was an incredible Christian leader who was always there to support the Second District in everything.

As celebration arrangements are made, the Second Episcopal District will be on hand to demonstrate just how precious and valuable Valerie Gary Bell was to the AME Church; and a special gem to the Second Episcopal District.  Let us demonstrate , through the outpouring of our love and   support , how grateful we are to God that she passed our way

This day and in the days ahead, we call upon each of you to lift the Bell family in prayer.  We have lost a champion.  Heaven has gained a soul who lived for Christ.  Valerie Gary Bell brought such joy and peace to everyone whose life she touched.

May God bless each of you as you touch and bless the Bell family. Her legacy lives on.
