Funeral Services for Rev. Angela Dawn Swepson Lloyd
Rev. Angela Dawn Swepson Lloyd was married to Heith Lloyd, two Children Johnathan and Erica. Jonathan is currently a sophomore at Duke University. Erica will be graduating from High School in a few weeks and will be attending High Point University in the fall.
Rev. Lloyd was a member of Wayman Chapel AMEC, Graham NC, Pastor A. O. Carmichael, Jr.

Congratulations to Mrs. Starr L. Battle Third Vice-President Connectional Lay Organization
Mrs. Starr L. Battle will be conferred the Juris Doctor degree with concentrations in Family and Veterans’ Law from The North Carolina Central University School of Law on May 8, 2014. During her matriculation at the NCCU Law School, she served in various capacities including President of the Black Law Students Association and Marshal of Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity. Starr currently serves as Third Vice President of the Connectional Lay Organization of the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
Starr is the oldest daughter of the Reverend Milton O. Battle and Mrs. Doris Taylor Battle. Reverend Battle is Pastor of St. Stephens AME Church in Liberty, NC in the Western District of the Western North Carolina Conference (Dr. Conrad K. Pridgen, Presiding Elder) of the Second Episcopal District (Right Reverend William P. DeVeaux, Jr., Presiding Prelate).

Diane Noble Haith
BURLINGTON – Ms. Diane Noble Haith, 61, of 5544 NC Hwy. 62 S., died April 24, 2015 at Hospice Home. She was the daughter of Mr. Mervin Perry Noble and Mrs. Lessie Mae Austin Noble, both deceased. Survivors include a son Tracey Haith (Elenor); two brothers, Rikey Noble and Timothy Noble (Gale); two grandsons, Cody Corbett and Kyndal Haith.
Ms. Haith was employed with Lincoln Financial Group, Greensboro, NC, and a loyal and faithful member of Springdale AME Church.
The funeral will be held Tuesday April 28, 2015 at 2 pm at Springdale AME Church. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday and other times at the residence. Public viewing will be held on Monday from 1-9 pm at the funeral home. The burial will be in the Church Cemetery.

Biennial Registration
We have received information from the SED Lay President Valerie Bell that we must move quickly to register our conference delegates, alternate, church delegates, and observers (clergy and laity).
Please Note: Since this letter was sent out, we have been informed that the deadline for pre-registration is April 11, 2015 rather than April 14, 2105. Pre-registration for delegates is $250.00 until April 11, 2015 and $125.00 for observers. Those of you who are registering for the Biennial, please complete the attached registration form and send to Jackie Kanipe by April 11. Registration for observers is in the amount of $125.00. You may purchase tickets for the Awards Banquet and Black tie Affair at the registration site. Additional information will be forthcoming.
Our first pre-registration was due on March 31, this will help to determine the number of hotel rooms needed for the district. Hotel information will be made available as soon as it is received from President Bell.

Without Easter,
there would be no hope of heaven.
Without the hope of heaven,
there would be no repentance,
no personal transformation,
no attempt to follow biblical principles.
Without Easter, the world would be in chaos and darkness.
Jesus’ death and resurrection means we can be reborn,
to live better, to do better, to shine light into the shadows.
