Lay Witness Sunday, traditional observed the 2nd Sunday in October, however any Sunday is fine. Lay Witness Sunday provides lay persons with the opportunity to witness about our faith in Jesus Christ and our commitment to fulfilling His mission in the world.  This event was established for lay persons to carry out the morning worship services at their respective local church. Traditionally, Lay Witness Sunday recognized the work and mission of all laity, which takes place within and outside the walls of the AME Church. Our theme this year is “I am a Witness” with scripture reference Matthew 28:19-20.

In the November edition of the Lay Expresswe would like to recognize the WNCC laity COVID-19 Frontline workers. We will recognize not only laity that are members of the WNCC-LO organization but also non-lay members.
